Change Your Limiting Beliefs. Create What Comes Next.
Expand what you believe is possible and create more of what you want.
When You Know You’re Capable of More
Life may look good on paper. You may have achieved a great deal, built a career or life you once wanted and know that you are capable of more. Yet something keeps getting in the way.
Perhaps you have an idea you cannot stop thinking about, a change you know you want to make, or a sense that you have outgrown where you are. One part of you feels ready to move forward. Another keeps finding reasons to wait.
You may call it overthinking, procrastination, being sensible, self-sabotage, or waiting for the right time. But underneath, beliefs and protective patterns can shape what feels safe, realistic, or possible for you.
If you’re ready to stop waiting and step into what’s next, let’s change the beliefs and protective patterns holding you back, so you can create the future you most want.
Does This Feel Familiar?
Perhaps you:
know what you want, but keep finding reasons not to take the next step;
have outgrown a job, relationship or way of living, yet feel nervous about changing it;
talk yourself out of opportunities because staying where you are feels safer;
overthink decisions until you lose confidence in what you originally wanted;
want to be more visible, ambitious or successful, but feel uncomfortable putting yourself forward;
worry about what other people will think if you change, succeed or choose differently;
keep achieving, yet still feel as though you should be doing more;
find it easier to support other people's ambitions than fully back your own; or
sense that you are capable of a bigger life, but cannot quite give yourself permission to pursue it.
You can be grateful for the life you have and still know that something needs to change.
That line is important. It removes the guilt around wanting more.
Why Your Mind Can Pull You Back From More
You can genuinely want something and still feel resistance when you start moving towards it,
A promotion, new business, relationship, move, creative ambition or more visible role is exciting, yet it can also bring uncertainty.
Then the questions begin:
“What if I fail?”
“What will people think?”
“What if I make the wrong choice?”
“What if I succeed and everything changes?”
“Who am I to do this?”
So you hesitate. Research more. Wait for certainty. Find a practical reason why now isn’t quite the right time.
This does not necessarily mean you lack ambition or ability. Part of you may simply be trying to protect you from rejection, judgement, failure, disappointment or feeling vulnerable or uncertain.
And sometimes the safer choice keeps winning, even when it is no longer the choice you want.
“One can choose to go back toward safety or forward toward growth.”
— Abraham Maslow
Change Is Always Possible
One of the most powerful truths about being human is this: You are not fixed.
You are not “just an anxious person.” You are not destined to always overthink, doubt yourself, or hold back. Those may be patterns you have learned, but they are not the whole of who you are.
Thanks to neuroplasticity, your brain’s lifelong ability to learn, adapt, change and grow, new ways of thinking and responding can be strengthened.
Give Your Mind Better Instructions
Your mind is always trying to act in what it believes is your best interest. Much of this happens subconsciously. Beliefs and emotional associations formed through past experiences, and reinforced through repetition, can operate like instructions, shaping what feels safe, what feels possible and how you respond.
That is why you can consciously want more yet still find yourself hesitating, overthinking or pulling back. This is not self-sabotage. Your mind uses familiar instructions to protect you.
But familiar does not mean fixed. Repetition can work in your favour.
Every time you question an old belief, choose a different response or take a new action, you give your brain and subconscious better instructions. You are teaching them a new way of thinking, feeling and responding - and giving your mind fresh evidence of what is possible.
With repetition, the unfamiliar can become familiar. More supportive patterns can begin to feel natural, while old protective patterns gradually lose their hold. Your past may explain the instructions your mind learned. It does not have to determine where you are going.
When you give your mind better instructions, you can begin creating more of what you want, and less of what you do not.
That is how you stop living by default and start living by design.
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.”
— Marianne Williamson
From Resistance To Completing Tasks
“Where I used to feel resistance, I now have more get-up-and-go. “
“I had RTT for procrastination, and the turnaround has been incredible.
Things just don’t affect me the way they used to - I just get on with and complete tasks. The change has been really obvious, and the progress I’ve made in such a short space of time is genuinely amazing."
— Stuart, Director
Imagine What Could Open Up
Imagine being able to:
make an important decision without spending weeks questioning yourself afterwards;
apply for the role, start the business or pursue the idea instead of waiting until you feel completely ready;
be more visible without worrying that success will make you exposed or judged;
say what you want rather than automatically choosing what will keep everybody else comfortable;
trust yourself when there is no guarantee you have made the “perfect” choice;
ask for more - responsibility, opportunity, recognition or support - without immediately feeling guilty;
stop shrinking an ambition because it feels too big or unrealistic; and
feel excited about your next chapter rather than frightened of what you might lose by changing.
This expansive work is about feeling free enough to use more of what is already in you.
How You Can Change Your Limiting Beliefs
We begin with the future you want to create.
Together, we clarify what you want to change and how you want to feel, behave and show up when the old pattern is no longer holding you back.
Using RTT® and hypnotherapy, I help you explore the experiences, beliefs and emotional associations beneath that pattern. You make the discoveries; I guide the process and keep it focused on the change you want to create.
I then create a personalised audio recording using your language, your goals and desired outcomes. Listening to it after your session helps reinforce the new beliefs and responses you want to make more familiar.
You leave with a clearer sense of where you’re going and personalised support to help you move toward it.
Having spent more than 25 years in demanding corporate and technology environments, I understand the pressure to achieve, protect your reputation and keep moving forward, even when part of you is questioning whether the life you’ve built still fits

Limiting Beliefs FAQs
-
A limiting belief is a deeply held belief about yourself, other people or what is possible for you.
It can influence your daily choices, your relationships, your career, the opportunities you pursue, and how much success, happiness or freedom you allow yourself to experience.
We can often cap what we are capable of, based on our internal beliefs.
-
You may repeatedly delay something you genuinely want, choose the safest option or find yourself reaching an invisible ceiling. You might know intellectually that you are capable, yet still struggle to trust yourself, follow through or step confidently into more.
-
Limiting beliefs can feel like self-sabotage because they can pull you in the opposite direction from what you consciously want. You may want to apply for the role, speak up, become more visible or make an important change, yet find yourself procrastinating, overthinking or talking yourself out of it.
But what looks like self-sabotage is often protection. Your mind may be responding to old beliefs and emotional associations about what is safe, possible or acceptable—and trying to protect you from rejection, failure, judgement or uncertainty.
The behaviour may be holding you back now, but its intention is not to ruin your progress. When you change the belief underneath it and give your mind better instructions, moving forward can begin to feel safer, easier and more natural.
-
Yes absolutely! RTT® and hypnotherapy can help you work with beliefs at a subconscious level, where many automatic thoughts, feelings and responses are held.
We’ll target the beliefs so you can release them, often you’ll feel lighter, happier and gain more confidence and emotional freedom.
-
No. You may simply know that something feels as though it is preventing you from moving forward. RTT® and hypnotherapy can help you explore the deeper beliefs and emotional patterns beneath that feeling.
-
Every person and pattern is different. Some people notice meaningful shifts after one focused session, while deeper or interconnected patterns may benefit from a series of sessions.
We can explore the most appropriate approach for you during your Discovery Call.
-
Each session will last an average of 75 – 90 mins.
At our session, I will guide you into a deeply relaxed state to enable you to focus on how the issue came into your life. We will uncover the meaning and interpretation you created at the time and the beliefs you formed. You’ll then can let go of this belief, and we will provide your subconscious with new positive beliefs that will transform your life.
After the session, you’ll receive a personalised audio to listen to every day for 21 days to establish beautiful new habits via your neural pathways in your subconscious. These new beliefs will create long lasting transformative change and allow you to unlock greater potential than you ever thought possible. The result is a truly transformative experience you will walk away from with clarity, direction and the desire to finally make your dreams a reality.
-
While Rapid Transformational Therapy® and hypnosis can be incredibly effective, they’re not the right fit for everyone. RTT is not recommended for those who:
Are currently experiencing severe mental health crises (like active psychosis or severe bipolar episodes)
Have untreated epilepsy or certain neurological conditions
Are unwilling or unable to engage in the process openly and honestly
Expect a quick fix without commitment to the journey of change – listening to the audio for 21 days consistently
If you have any concerns or complex mental health issues, it’s important to speak with a healthcare professional first. RTT® works best when you’re ready to take an active role in healing and growth.
-
Absolutely. Your journey is private and held in a safe, non-judgemental space.
-
Initial call
We will have an introductory FREE call to discuss how RTT® may work for you. Generally, we discuss what you’d like to work on, how we can work together and you’re able to ask questions you may have.
When you’re ready, you can get in touch and we can book your first session.
Building Confidence To Grow My Business
Verified Google Review
I had an RTT session with Nerissa about my confidence to grow my business. During the session, she gently but firmly guided me to uncover subconscious beliefs that I was responsible for others’ behaviour, which enabled me to see the truth about past events that were still affecting me. I was able to let go of those beliefs and give responsibility back to its rightful owner, which gave me a great sense of relief and freedom from a burden that wasn’t mine to carry. This freed me to focus my energy on growing my business with more clarity and confidence and on creating the next phase of my life.

A Huge Mindset Shift & Self-Belief
The experience has delivered far more than I could have imagined. I now feel calmer, clearer about where I’m heading, and confident about how to get there. I have a stronger sense of what I want for my future and feel far better equipped to handle the inevitable stresses and challenges along the way. My thinking has shifted, and my outlook is now much more positive.

Finding Clarity & Feeling Lighter

I’m so grateful for Nerissa’s patience and guidance. I came to her with a rather abstract issue that was difficult for me to define, but her warm presence and thoughtful questions helped me gain clarity.
Throughout the session, I felt safe, supported, and truly heard. I experienced a profound sense of release, and even two weeks later, I still feel as though a weight has been lifted from my shoulders.
The recording she provided has been incredibly helpful, reminding me of how I want to feel and who I want to be.
