EMDR Therapy
Release the Past. Own your Freedom.
Precise Nervous-System Release for Lasting Change
If you feel held back by anxiety, self-doubt, past experiences, or emotional triggers that don’t seem to shift — even though you understand them logically — EMDR may be the breakthrough you’ve been looking for.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) is a powerful, evidence-based psychotherapy approved by NICE (National Institute for Health and Care Excellence) in the UK for the treatment of PTSD. It is widely used for trauma, anxiety, phobias, performance blocks, and deeply rooted emotional patterns.
Unlike traditional talking therapy, EMDR works directly with the brain and nervous system — helping you process unresolved experiences so they no longer drive your reactions, confidence, or sense of self. Instead, you feel free of the past and you’re able to more forward with calm, clarity and unwavering self-trust.

How EMDR Works
When something overwhelming happens — especially in childhood or during highly emotional moments — the brain can store the experience in a fragmented way.
That memory then continues to trigger anxiety, fear, shame, or self-doubt in the present — even when you consciously know you are safe.
EMDR uses structured bilateral stimulation (such as guided eye movements) to help the brain safely reprocess these stored memories.
The memory remains. Yet the emotional charge dissolves.
Which means:
Old triggers stop hijacking your nervous system
You feel less anxious and reactive
Confidence returns naturally
You feel calm and in control again
Many clients notice significant shifts within1 - 4 sessions, depending on the issue.
Is This You?
You may benefit from EMDR if:
You know what the issues is — but still feel emotionally triggered
You’ve tried talking therapy, yet the feelings still remain
You understand what happened but can’t seem to “move on”
You have negative thoughts, ruminate and repeatedly think about the past
Your body reacts before your mind can catch up
You want real change without years of therapy
If you’re reading this and quietly thinking, “Yes… that’s me,” you’re not alone — and you can change.
“The measure of intelligence is the ability to change.”
— Albert Einstein, physicist
What EMDR Can Help With
While EMDR is best known for trauma and PTSD, it is also highly effective for:
Trauma (single-event and complex)
Childhood abuse, neglect, or emotional wounds
Anxiety, panic attacks, and general stress
Phobias, fears, and performance anxiety
Relationship challenges and low self-esteem
Grief, loss, or bereavement
Anger, guilt, or emotional reactivity
Chronic pain or psychosomatic responses
Cravings, addictions, or compulsive behaviours
Confidence, leadership presence, and visibility challenges
Negative emotions, past trauma and obsessive thinking of the past
Plus whatever you are dealing with…
If an experience still carries emotional charge, EMDR can help your brain release it.
What to Expect in Your Session
Clients often worry they will have to relive everything in detail. You don’t.
In your sessions, you can expect:
A calm, safe, confidential environment
Work at a pace that feels comfortable for you
No pressure to share intimate details
Minimal talking compared to traditional therapies
You remain present and aware throughout the session and you are never out of control. Your nervous system is guided safely through the process to release what you no longer need and we set a new level of calm regulated confidence.
This is precise, targeted therapeutic working specifically on what you desire to shift — not endless processing.
“You are one decision away from a completely different life.”

EMDR vs RTT®: Choosing the Right Approach
I also offer Rapid Transformational Therapy® (RTT®), and clients often ask which may suit them best.
RTT® is particularly powerful when an issue stems from a deeper root belief formed earlier in life. This is subconscious programming that is automatically running in the back of your mind, influencing your identity, behaviours, and patterns. RTT® helps you uncover the negative beliefs, reframe them at this origin and install healthier, empowering alternatives.
EMDR is especially effective when there is a specific memory, trauma, limiting belief, or emotional trigger that needs to be released, also known as neurological reprocessing. It works directly with how distressing experiences are stored in the brain, reducing their emotional intensity so they no longer drive your reactions.
In simple terms:
• RTT® restructures core beliefs.
• EMDR reprocesses emotional memories.
Both are powerful. The difference lies in where the root of the issue sits. My role is to assess what will create the most precise, efficient and lasting shift for you. Sometimes that’s one approach. Sometimes it’s a thoughtful combination of both.
During your discovery call, we’ll explore your goals and determine the approach that will move you forward with clarity and confidence.
The Benefits Clients Often Experience
After EMDR, clients frequently report feeling:
Lighter, clearer and more calm - as if something has finally switched off in their nervous system.
Reduced flashbacks and intrusive thoughts
Greater emotional resilience
Improved confidence and self-trust
Less physical anxiety (racing heart, tension, tight chest)
Ability to face past reminders without fear
A noticeable sense of clarity and being more present
Many describe it as feeling brighter and emotionally free; more like themselves.
“Personal growth is not a matter of leaning new information but of unlearning old limits.”

The number of sessions depends on your goals, the complexity of the experiences, and your nervous system’s response.
Some clients see significant changes in just 1–3 sessions, while others benefit from a more tailored program. The focus is always on fast, lasting, and sustainable transformation, rather than prolonged therapy.

Each session will last an average of 75 – 90 mins.
Each EMDR session is personalised and results-focused.
We will work on any topic you’d like or multiple topics. When you decide which topic. We will work to release negative emotions, memories or experiences that are impacting your confidence, emotional balance, or performance — without having to relive or explain them in detail.
Sessions involve gentle eye movements or other bilateral stimulation while you focus on these experiences, allowing your nervous system to reprocess them. Most clients notice a shift in how they feel and respond by the end of the session — a sense of calm, clarity, and renewed self-trust. You remain fully in control throughout, and the pace is tailored to your needs.

Absolutely. Your journey is private and held in a safe, non-judgemental space.
Before my EMDR session, I would get incredibly nervous introducing myself and my business to peers and former colleagues. My heart would race, and I constantly feared making a mistake or saying the wrong thing — and I didn’t even know where that anxiety was coming from. During the session, I released old feelings of being unsafe or ‘not enough.’. Now I feel calm, confident and grounded. It’s as if a heavy weight has lifted.
